The recipe “Palak Paneer” is usually a famous one however, we at TheOvenBun customized a bit and added amazing flavors to it overall to make it mouth-watering and at the same time blossom your taste buds. The Palak is a vegetable with a lot of benefits, according to BBCGoodFood. The Palak can be a source of Vitamins, A, C, & K1. Not to forget, it also provides your body with Folic Acid, Iron, and Calcium which are all great benefits to your body. It is also said to be a good source of Manganese.

The Garlic Butter Palak Paneer is made by blanching the Palak for 5 minutes and to retain the nutrients, and the color is immediately dropped into the ice-cold water. The palak looks amazingly green, fresh, and tender. The only best way to prepare it for the gravy.

The onions are then fried till translucent in the Garlic Butter along with Garlic cloves and species like, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt, and Kasuri Methi. This makes the recipe oozing to your taste buds. Garlic butter is used to enhance the flavor of this recipe.  The buttery flavor along with garlic gives a good sensation to the taste buds and the aroma is just breathtaking.

The Palak is then turned into a paste in a mixer with a bunch of cashews, tomatoes, green chili, and garlic cloves. The gravy is then loaded into the spices with little water added to it. The paneer is then simmered and is cooked for 5 minutes. Your Galic Butter Palak Paneer is ready to serve with Zeera Rice or Butter Naan/Tandoori Roti.

Ingredients

  • 5 bunches of Palak (Spinach)
  • 200g of Paneer
  • 10g of Amul Garlic Butter
  • 1/3 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder (Optional if green chili is added)
  • 2 medium-sized onion chopped finely
  • 3 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 1 Slit Green Chilli
  • A handful of cashew nuts
  • 5 Garlic Cloves (2 to grind with Palak & 3 to fry with onions)

Step by Step Instructions

1. Cut down Palak into fine pieces and wash it thoroughly. Boil the water till it evaporates, put in the Palak and let it boil for 5 minutes. Since we are not using an Instant pot, we need to make the spinach nice and tender before it goes into the grinder.
2. Drain the boiling water, take out Palak and pour it into the ice-cold water to retain the nutrients and the color of Palak. Keep Palak aside in the cold water till you prepare for the next step.
3. Take a non-stick bowl and pour in the 10g of Garlic Butter. Fry the Onions & 2 cloves of Garlic till the raw smell goes away and becomes translucent. Add salt, turmeric powder, Kasuri Methi and red chili powder. Keep it aside.
4. Plug in your blender, pour in the blanched Palak along with tomatoes, green chili and garlic cloves. Blend or grind till it turns into fine paste.
5. Pour the paste/puree into the fried onion and spices. Use a little water to make it evenly thin. Stir to mix it well. Add garam masala while stirring.
6. Unpack the Paneer cubes and unload them into the Gravy. Let them simmer for around 8 minutes on medium flame.
7. Your Garlic Butter Palak Paneer is ready to serve with hot tandoori roti, or Zeera rice.
