About this Recipe

The place of origin of this delicious Cinnamon Rolls are Sweden & Denmark. It goes with many different names as well, like in Sweden it goes with the name “kanelbulle” while in Denmark it goes with the name “kanelsnegl”. However in Norway, it goes with three different names which are Skillingsboller, Kanelbolle and Kanelsnurr.

A cinnamon roll consists of a rolled sheet of yeast-leavened dough onto which a cinnamon and sugar mixture (and raisins or other ingredients in some cases) is sprinkled over a thin coat of butter. The dough is then rolled, cut into individual portions, and baked or deep fried. Its main ingredients are flour, cinnamon, sugar, and butter, which provide a robust and sweet flavor.

Ingredients

  • 360 gm all purpose flour
  • 60 gm butter
  • 50 gm white sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 3/4 warm milk
  • 7 gm dry yeast
  • 1 piece egg
  •  10 gm Filling Cinnamon Powder (10g) + Butter (50g) + Brown Sugar (100g)
  • 25 gm Icing

Step by Step Instructions

Take a bowl, pour in the required amount of all purpose flour along with butter. Pour in Sugar, Milk and Egg as well. Now add yeast to the mixture. Mix well and make a perfect dough. Keep the dough covered for about 30 minutes.
After the dough is raised, take a roller and roll the dough into a circle shape. Now top it with the filling properly. After topping it, roll it sideways.
After rolling it sideways, cut it into 10 pieces and keep each piece on your palm to spread them evenly.
Preheat the oven at 180 Degree Celcius for 5 minutes. Take a baking pan and put in the baking paper then place the Cinnamon Rolls on it. Bake the Rolls for about 25 minutes until golden brown,
After removing it from the oven, let them rest for about 5 minutes. Put the icing on the top of the Rolls and they are ready to serve with the favorite beverage.
